Did You Know that Jillian Harris is Also an Interior Designer?
Jillian Harris earned mainstream fame in 2009 when she appeared as a contestant on ABC’s dating show, The Bachelor where she was the season’s second-runner-up. The following year, she appeared on the show’s spin-off, The Bachelorette, and became the show’ first Canadian star. Although it has been five years since Harris’ Bachelorette appearance, she has been able to remain relevant, and has built a good relationship with the public. Since her days as a reality TV star, Harris has gone on to pursue several other interests. She now stars on a Canadian home-design series titled Love It or Love It, and seems to have capitalized on her time in the spotlight. Here are three things you didn’t know about Jillian Harris.
3. Jillian Harris is helping cat owners defend themselves against smelly liter boxes.
In 2013, Jillian Harris, a self proclaimed neat freak, teamed up with Tidy Cat to help cat owners cut down on little box odor. Together, they came up with the concept of Littervention which allows people to share their litter box horror stories in hopes of earning a visit from Hariss, who will in-turn, teach them how to maintain a neat letterbox.
2. Jillian Harris has had plastic surgery.
In 2014, Harris publicly opened up about her plastic surgery procedure for the first time. Harris who had a nose job, said that fear of being judged is what stopped her from talking about her surgery. Harris also shared her reasons for getting a nose job, stating: “I had had my nose broken before years ago and my mom said a few times that my nose was different than it had been, and I guess I was just used to it and so it didn’t really bother me. And then sadly, actually, when I was going through my breakup with Ed (Swiderski), I was really sad and was reading someone’s blog and this person was really nasty and was posting really mean comments about my nose.”

Now that her Bachelorette buzz has died down, Harris returned to a more low-key line of work as an interior designer. She has done work on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and has also launched a website advertising her brand and sharing her expertise.
